Thanks to the publisher & Edelweiss+ for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.Wow, where do I even start talking about Ashley Herring Blake’s Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. I absolutely loved this one. From its portrayal of the MCs’ long-held family & relationship pain to its sexiness to the litany of tropes flashing through its pages—childhood hate to love, single parent, opposites attract, best friend’s sibling, “no feelings” sex—this book had me engrossed, enchanted in every way. Artist Delilah Green is confident & talented with so much swagger & it was a real joy watching her slowly reveal her feelings, memories, & hurts to Claire Sutherland, BFF to the stepsister Delilah loves to hate & according to Delilah, one of the people who made her feel so alone as a child. Blake explores her vulnerabilities with grace & rawness—just like she does with Claire, who has her own family & relationship baggage. Despite the heaviness of some of those feelings there’s also balance. The emotionality of the book is softened by blips of humor & Blake’s powerful portrayal of friendship (it’s so good!). This romance is about second chances & taking risks with your heart. It’s also about how things aren’t always so simple—about how there are two sides to every story (maybe more)—& how being imperfect & being lovable aren’t mutually exclusive. Because I really really loved these characters. 5 ⭐️. Release date: 02/22.

Thanks to the author for the complimentary physical copy and Netgalley for the free ARC. All opinions provided are my own.Eva Leigh’s Waiting for a Scot Like You was one of my fave reads last year so when I say I couldn’t wait to get my hands on The Good Girl’s Guide to Rakes PLEASE BELIEVE ME. This romance features a rule follower named Celeste who starts chasing her dreams—if by dreams you mean being naughty & free & going to a gambling hell & parties that turn burlesque etc etc. Accompanying her is Kieran, her brother’s best friend & the aforementioned Rake in the title, a dashing man who sometimes wears kohl around his eyes &—as he says—will do everything he can to help Celeste take the agency over her life she is due. The Good Girl’s Guide to Rakes has woah sex scenes, a heroine who flabbergasts the seemingly unshockable hero by being exactly who she is—more than a little bold & mischievous & fun-loving—& a hero who sees the heroine & really understands her. This pairing is fun & adventurous & I can only imagine the excitement they’ll cause jaunting across London after their Epilogue. 4.5 ⭐️. Release date: 02/22.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.The cover of A Far Wilder Magic just gets right to the core of my fairy / woodland / magical-loving heart & the book itself—with its mix of whimsy & fright, possibility & heartache—is something to appreciate. Margaret is an outcast in her small town & she’s frequently abandoned by her alchemist mother, who’s obsessed with her research. Her family is gone & her day to day is keeping things together in the hopes of pleasing her mother. Changing her. Then hopeful-alchemist & charmer Weston Winters—who makes use of that flighty, irresistible charm to get what he wants—appears on Margaret’s doorstep, wanting to serve as her mother’s alchemy apprentice. She tells him her mother should be home soon, a lie told with some positive intention & some selfish, because she’s decided to join the notorious, often deadly hunt for the hala, a mythical beast who is actually terrorizing their community, & she needs an alchemist like Weston. Forced proximity, opposites attract with some deep baggage thrown in? What could possibly go wrong…or right? This YA fantasy with romantic elements will be emotionally resonant for many, I think. It’s a story about two people who are often treated as outsiders bc of where their families are from & the faith they practiced/practice. It’s a story about imperfect people carrying around a lot of pain who aren’t “fixed” by their growing feelings for the other. Their pain isn’t totally erased & they still have uncertainty for the future. But there’s a lot of hope. I really enjoyed this one. 4.5 ⭐️. Release date: 03/08
