Best friend role models.
Carrie Bradshaw. Seeing this pic really takes me back.
Beautiful, and she can give someone a powerful fake wallop on the show.

This place. Daniel, Sam, and I went to Hilton Head last week and it was amazing. A beautiful, wide open ocean; flat bike paths with trees arching overhead; alligators sunning themselves on banks and blessedly not moving towards us; a heavenly breeze that somehow made it just the right temperature—for most of the trip, anyway. And on Tuesday, Daniel and I went to Savannah for our first night away without Sam. If you’re looking for a place to dine, try The Olde Pink House; it was amazing.
This friendship. Sometimes for fun (and also to torture myself), I try to decide if I would rather be Tina Fey or Amy Poehler. As far as I’m concerned, they are the best and their friendship is A++.
This video. Anytime I see Sarah Jessica Parker, especially in character as Carrie Bradshaw, I’m taken back to my sophomore year of college—when I first discovered that the show existed and bought the DVDs so that I could binge-watch them in my room. It was such a rush to watch a show that seemed to relate to parts of my life so well. Who among us hasn’t fought hard to be the character of our choice? (At the time, I was Charlotte all the way. But now I’m wondering if I would have wanted to be Miranda.) There are undoubtedly weaknesses within the show, but I also respect it for being revolutionary and for leading us to new insights, and new ways to talk about, women and sex.
This show.I’ve mentioned on the blog before that I love Viola Davis. She’s a mesmerizing, fierce actor, and her eyes emote like no one’s business. On How to Get Away with Murder, she’s a powerful puppeteer, holding fistfuls of strings and manipulating everyone and everything. If you like legal/thriller/mystery/dramas with strong women, lots of flashbacks, and a fair dose of sexual tension, try this show, available on Netflix.
